Graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, 1993, BA Studio Art.
Medium: acrylic paint, sewing and collage on paper, canvas and masonite; compositions of ordered geometric shapes, and shapes in motion.
"I am inspired by things both old and new and my art reflects that. I choose modern compositions, but mix them with antique papers. I like the contrast, and the way old, found materials can soften a geometric design. Abstract work has always been my focus. I prefer to emphasize shapes, colors and individual marks rather than a defined subject matter. I strive for compositions that ones eye can work their way through, taking in and appreciating small details."
